1948 TA14 2dr 4seat Saloon
The 2nd Duncan to be Manufactured on 23 September 1946, first registered on 1 April 1948.
Coachwork by Duncan - 2 door, 4-seater saloon. (Body off restoration 1994-1996).
Colour – Newcastle Breweries Transport Ruby. (1996)
Seats and interior trim – Tan leather and red Axminster carpet (2016).
Powered by an overhead valve 4 cylinder engine of 1,892 cc and features a beam axle front suspension and mechanical brakes.
Fitted with a four speed all synchromesh gearbox.
Rated at 65bhp at 4,000rpm the TA14 was good for 74mph (a more leisurely 60 mph today).
0-60mph in approximately 22 seconds.
Only 30 Duncan’s were made of which only 7 survive.
‘Isadora’ was found in a builder’s yard in Co Durham in 1994 and required a complete restoration.
‘Isadora’, having an all aluminium body is light, easy and fun to drive and returns circa 24 mpg.
